Mofcom is a cabinet level executive agency established in 2003. It is responsible for trade negotiations and the relationship with the World Trade Organization (WTO). Like the U.S. Department of Commerce, Mofcom promotes exports and imports, and coordinates foreign investment. It also handles bilateral and multilateral trade negotiations. The 11 firms selected as preferred providers were deemed to have the capabilities, professional standards, and relevant experience to provide consulting and legal services including legal analysis, research, and written legal opinions. ###
